calypso house

a complete interior redesign for a renovation and extension in toolern vale. careful spatial planning brings the kitchen, dining and living spaces together, with continuous timber flooring connecting the home.

the bespoke quartzite island forms the centre of the kitchen. its piano-shaped profile balances generous preparation space with seating and movement around it, while finely detailed timber joinery conceals integrated appliances. a servery window opens to the outdoor entertaining area, extending the kitchen’s role as a place to gather.

a travertine-clad wood-burning fireplace anchors the living room, its curved hearth echoing the island’s softened edges. tall windows and sheer curtains filter daylight across textured upholstery, natural stone tables and warm timber surfaces.

our involvement extended through furniture selection, supply and styling, alongside the supply and installation of curtains and blinds. custom bedheads and articolo brass lighting bring a more intimate scale to the bedrooms, completing a home designed for both shared moments and quiet retreat.
